Our Zero-Knowledge Architecture Promise

PDF Rotator is designed from the ground up as a client-side Web application. Your files, document contents, and metadata are never uploaded to our servers, never stored in any database, and never shared with third parties.

1. Information We Do NOT Collect

Unlike traditional PDF conversion services:

We do not upload your PDF files to any web server or cloud storage.
We do not read, inspect, log, or index the text or graphics in your documents.
We do not require user registration, passwords, or personal identity details.
We do not retain copies of your documents after you close or refresh your browser tab.

2. How Local Processing Works

When you drag and drop a PDF file onto our website, your web browser reads the file directly from your local filesystem into its local RAM using JavaScript's FileReader API. All page rendering (via PDF.js) and rotation operations (via PDF-Lib) execute on your machine's CPU/GPU.

3. Cookies and Local Storage

We use localStorage purely to remember your aesthetic preference (e.g. Light Mode or Dark Mode). We do not use tracking cookies, cross-site beacons, or marketing pixels to profile your behavior.

4. GDPR & CCPA Compliance

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), our zero-upload architecture means we act neither as a Data Controller nor as a Data Processor for your document contents, ensuring complete regulatory compliance.
